Lipo 360

Consultation in a modern medical office setting.

Circumferential contour, planned around you.

Lipo 360 shapes the midsection, including the abdomen, waist, flanks, and back.

At Heights Plastic Surgery, we begin by looking at your body, skin elasticity, and whether liposuction alone will meet your needs.

The term “360” refers to the areas treated, not a specific device or single technique. We decide which areas to treat, the method, and the anesthesia plan during your consultation.

What is Lipo 360?

Lipo 360 is a type of liposuction that targets the midsection, usually including the abdomen, waist or flanks, and back. Rather than just treating the front of the abdomen, your surgeon looks at your torso from all sides.

A thin tube removes fat through small cuts in the skin. “Lipo 360” does not mean a certain device, amount of fat, or guaranteed outcome. Heights Plastic Surgery offers different liposuction methods. Your surgeon will suggest the best approach for your body and goals.

Liposuction targets fat just under the skin. It does not remove deeper fat, fix separated abdominal muscles, or get rid of loose skin. If loose skin or muscle separation is your main concern, a tummy tuck might be a better option.

What areas can  Lipo 360 address?

Your plan might include the upper or lower abdomen, waist, flanks, and lower back.

The surgeon chooses areas that matter most to your goals and can be treated safely at the same time. Treating more areas is not always better. For example, arms and thighs need their own plan.

What are the benefits of Lipo 360?

If you have localized fat and good skin elasticity, treating the whole torso can give you a smoother shape than just working on one area.

Potential benefits include:

  • Reduction of selected fat deposits around the midsection
  • A more defined waist and smoother torso contour
  • Better balance between the abdomen, flanks, and back
  • Several related areas addressed in one surgical plan
  • Small, discreet incision sites
  • Long-lasting contour changes when weight remains stable
  • Your results depend on your skin, how fat is spread in your body, how you heal, and what changes are right for you. Liposuction is not a weight loss method and cannot guarantee exact measurements.

Am I a candidate for Lipo 360?

Most candidates are close to their ideal weight, have fat in certain areas around the trunk, and are healthy enough for surgery. How well your skin bounces back after fat removal depends on its elasticity. Your surgeon will look at your medical history, medications, nicotine use, past procedures, and your goals.

Good candidates

You may be a candidate if you:

  • Want to refine localized fullness rather than lose significant weight
  • Have a stable weight and realistic expectations
  • Have skin elasticity that supports the planned contour change
  • Can follow pre- and post-operative instructions

When another plan may fit better

Lipo 360 does not fix a lot of loose skin or separated abdominal muscles. If your skin cannot tighten enough after fat is removed, loose skin may become more obvious. In that case, a tummy tuck or another body-contouring procedure might be better. Your surgeon will explain the pros and cons of each option during your consultation.

How should I prepare for Lipo 360?

How you prepare depends on your health and the surgery plan. Before your procedure:

1. Review your medical history. Share medications, supplements, allergies, and prior procedures.

2. Follow testing and medication instructions. Your team may request lab work or medical clearance and advise changes to certain medicines. Do not stop prescriptions without direction.

3. Stop nicotine as instructed. Smoking and nicotine can interfere with circulation and healing.

4. Arrange support. An adult should drive you home and help during early recovery.

5. Prepare for recovery. Your team will explain compression garment use, incision care, and what to have ready at home.

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ preparation guidance also recommends arranging transportation and following the surgeon’s advice on medications and smoking.

What happens during the procedure?

Lipo 360 is done as an outpatient surgery. Where the surgery happens and what anesthesia is used depend on how much treatment you need, your health, and if you are having other procedures. Heights does liposuction in a private, accredited surgical center.

Before anesthesia, your surgeon will review and mark the areas to be treated. A special fluid is used, and then a thin tube removes fat through small cuts. The surgeon works on each planned area and checks your shape as they go. You will need someone to drive you home afterward.

Heights offers power-assisted, ultrasound-assisted, and laser-assisted liposuction. These methods are not interchangeable promises. The surgeon recommends an approach after evaluating your anatomy. Your consultation is the time to discuss anesthesia options, procedure-specific risks, and how the plan may affect recovery.

What is recovery like after Lipo 360?

You can expect soreness, bruising, swelling, and some temporary numbness. Since the abdomen, sides, and back may all be treated, your compression garment will cover more of your body than with single-area liposuction. Wear it as long as your surgeon tells you to.

Most people go back to their normal activities in steps. Some can return to desk work in a few days, but physical jobs and hard exercise usually take longer. Recovery after Lipo 360 depends on how much was done and if you had other procedures, so follow your surgeon’s advice instead of comparing to others.

Short, gentle walks may be encouraged when your team says it is safe. Avoid strenuous activity until cleared. Contact the office promptly for symptoms your care team has identified as concerning, such as worsening pain, unusual swelling, fever, shortness of breath, or incision changes.

When will I see Lipo 360 results?

Your shape will change after surgery, but swelling at first can hide the results. As the swelling goes down and your body heals, you’ll see your new waist and torso more clearly. Final results can take a few months.

Liposuction lowers the number of fat cells in the treated area, but the ones left can still get bigger if you gain weight. Keeping your weight steady helps keep your new shape. Aging and future weight changes can still affect your body.

How much does Lipo 360 cost in Houston?

The cost depends on how many areas are treated, their size, the technique used, anesthesia, facility time, and if you have other procedures

General liposuction prices do not apply to a full 360 plan. You’ll get a personal estimate after your exam and talking about your surgery plan.

Ask for a written list of what’s included, like surgeon fees, anesthesia, facility costs, garments, and follow-up visits. Heights can also talk to you about financing options if you need them.

Lipo 360 and other body-contouring options

Lipo 360 removes fat from the midsection. A tummy tuck gets rid of extra skin on the abdomen and can fix separated muscles, but it uses a different incision and recovery process. Some people need both fat removal and skin tightening, while others do better with just one procedure or a staged approach.

For broader changes after pregnancy, a mommy makeover consultation can address how abdominal and breast procedures may fit together. The practice’s liposuction overview covers other treatment areas and available techniques.

Lipo 360 Frequently Asked Questions

Lipo 360 is a descriptive name for liposuction planned around the midsection. It does not identify one device or technique. Your surgeon selects the plan for your anatomy.

No. Liposuction contours localized fat; it is not a major weight-loss procedure. Patients should be near a stable weight before surgery.

Liposuction removes fat, not loose skin. Skin elasticity affects how the area redrapes. Significant laxity may call for a tummy tuck or another procedure.

It varies with treatment scope, anesthesia, and any combined procedures. Your surgeon will give you a staged plan for work, activity, and exercise.

Sometimes. Combination surgery depends on your health, anatomy, operative time, and safety considerations. Your surgeon can explain whether combining or staging procedures is appropriate.
